"Realize deeply that the present moment is all you will ever have." Eckhart Tolle
People who struggle with depression live in the past, filled with regret and sadness for what is no longer. People who struggle with anxiety live in the future, paralyzed with worry and fear about what could happen. We get stuck when we live in either of these states of mind because we are unable to enjoy the present moment. When we allow negative thought patterns to take over, it is impossible to truly be in the moment.
My practice is informed by mindfulness and insight oriented therapies. Compassion and empathy for self and others provide the groundwork for my approach to healing.
